PCD refers to Polycrystalline Diamond. It is very hard and abrasive resistant in all directions. For epoxy, resin or other coatings, they will become sticky, if the temperature is high, and not easy to be removed. However, the PCD has good thermal conductivity and can remove the floor coatings under relatively low temperature.The initial PCD used on floor coating removal tools is cylindrical. We divide it to several parts for different uses.

There are commonly 3 types: 1 round PCD, 1/2 round PCD, and 1/4 round PCD.

One floor grinding disc can use one or several types of PCD, based on the purpose or customers requirements.
